Motion type based on the classic Abbot and Costello ‘Who’s On First?’ bit.

Now this is awesome. Take a hilarious classic comedy skit and add whimsical type and excellent visual synchronization and you’ve got this minute-and-a-half clip.

This is one of my favorites.

An energetic kinetic type treatment of a verse from Jet’s ‘Are You Gonna Be My Girl?’.

I really like this one. The song really gives it some ‘umph’. I’m not sure if I like how some phrases leave the stage, but are still visible. I don’t feel that it detracts from the piece overall, though.

Movement & Type: Ocean’s Eleven Project

Another example of kinetic typography in AfterEffects and type set to the rhythm of conversation. The author who created this movie states that it was a project with stipulations of taking a 45-second clip from anywhere and animating what was said.

He also claims that it is his first attempt at animation and AfterEffects… Methinks he had to have done some of both before this, but that’s neither here nor there. The piece is very well-done.

I came across this video by Cuarteto de Nos on Digital Latina‘s blog and it’s fantastic. The type treatment, transitions and timing are all on point. Plus, the song is pretty cool too!
